Blue Bloods Shorts - Episode 3: "Family Shadows"

Blue Bloods - Episode 3 (Short - 12 Minutes)
Episode Title: Family Shadows
Scene One: Manhattan Baby Boutique – Day
(Jamie and Eddie browse through baby clothes. The store is upscale but cozy. Jamie picks up a small Yankees onesie.)
Eddie: (grins) You know, the baby's not guaranteed to like baseball, right?
Jamie: (holding it up) In this family? Good luck with that.
(Eddie smirks but then spots a tiny dress on display. She walks over and admires it.)
Eddie: This is adorable. I mean, just in case...
Jamie: We agreed to wait. No peeking. No gender reveals. Just old-school surprise.
Eddie: (mocking) Yeah, the Reagan way. Silence, secrecy, and stoicism.
Jamie: (shrugs) Keeps things simple.
Eddie: Or boring. You know my mom's been pushing for a reveal. She says it's the 'fun' way to go.
Jamie: (grins) Your mom's not exactly the poster child for subtlety.
Eddie: (narrowing eyes playfully) Careful. You married into that.
Jamie: I know. I brace myself daily.
(They both laugh, but Eddie holds the dress thoughtfully.)
Eddie: I just... I kinda like the idea of knowing. Planning.
Jamie: (softening) I get that. But maybe it's good to let this one thing be a surprise. We’ve got enough planning to do as it is.
(Eddie sighs but smiles, reluctantly putting the dress back.)
Eddie: Fine. But when the baby gets here, I pick the first outfit.
Jamie: Deal.
Cut to Scene Two: Local Sports Bar – Night
(Jack and Sean walk into a lively bar. There's a game playing on the TVs. They grab a table near the bar.)
Jack: I needed this break. Med school applications are eating me alive.
Sean: You’ll get into Columbia. I’m not worried about you.
Jack: And you? Still undecided?
Sean: Something like that.
(Jack gives him a side-eye but doesn’t press. They both notice Joe Hill walking past them, heading out.)
Joe Hill: (nodding at them) Look at this. The future doctor and the... whatever you are.
Sean: Thanks, Joe. Real inspiring.
Joe Hill: (grinning) You’ll figure it out. Night, guys.
(Joe leaves. In the background, two shadowy figures at the bar seem to subtly watch Jack and Sean.)
Jack: (watching Joe go) He’s cool. I like having him around.
Sean: Yeah. It’s almost like having another big brother.
(Their drinks arrive, and they clink glasses. Jack glances at a woman nearby. A drunk man at the bar notices.)
Drunk Man: (staggering over) You eyeing my girl?
Jack: (calm) No, man. Just here for a drink.
Drunk Man: (gritting teeth) I saw you looking. Don’t lie.
(Before Jack can respond, the drunk swings, knocking him down.)
Sean: (snapping) Big mistake.
(Sean tackles the drunk. A brawl erupts as the drunk’s friends jump in. Sean fights furiously, surprisingly aggressive. Jack scrambles up, joining in.)
(Suddenly, the two shadowy figures step forward. One quickly dispatches the drunk's friends, while the other pulls Sean off the man.)
Shadowy Figure 1: (calmly) Enough. Let it go.
(The drunk and his friends hesitate, then flee. Shadowy Figure 1 starts chasing them out the door.)
Sean: (panting) Who the hell are you guys?
Shadowy Figure 2: (grinning) Just guys who don’t like unfair fights. You okay?
Sean: (nodding) Yeah. Thanks.
Shadowy Figure 2: Good. I gotta go help my brother.
(He sprints out the door after the second figure.)
Sean: (calling after him) Hey! Who are you?
(Silence as the bar settles. Jack and Sean exchange a look.)
Jack: Weird.
Sean: Yeah. Very.
Cut to Scene Three: Late Night Diner – Booth by the Window
(Jamie and Eddie sit across from each other, finishing a shared dessert. The atmosphere is cozy and warm.)
Eddie: Admit it. The boutique wasn’t so bad.
Jamie: (grinning) I survived.
Eddie: I can’t believe you’re this stubborn. I mean, even your dad must’ve bent on a few traditions.
Jamie: (teasing) Have you met my dad?
(They both laugh, leaning into each other playfully.)
Eddie: You’re lucky I love you.
Jamie: I remind myself every day.
(They share a quiet moment, hands touching across the table as the episode fades out.)
Final Shot:
Outside the bar, the two shadowy figures walk down a dark street.
Shadowy Figure 1: Think they recognized us?
Shadowy Figure 2: Not yet. But they will.
(The camera lingers as they disappear into the night. Their silhouettes hint at something familiar—like echoes of the Reagan family themselves.)
