Anthony: You’ve been distracted lately. More than usual. Spill it. What’s going on?
Erin: (without looking up) Nothing. Just work.
Anthony: (leaning forward) You know I can read people, right? It’s, like, my thing.

Anthony: (leaning forward) You know I can read people, right? It’s, like, my thing.
(Erin hesitates, clearly debating something. She glances at the door.)
Erin: Fine. But keep it between us.
Anthony: (grinning) Scout’s honor.
Erin: (taking a deep breath) Jack and I are... engaged.
Anthony: (grinning) Scout’s honor.
Erin: (taking a deep breath) Jack and I are... engaged.
(Anthony nearly chokes on his coffee, coughing and sputtering.)
Anthony: Engaged? Like... married engaged?
Erin: (smirking) Is there another kind?
Anthony: (incredulous) When were you gonna tell me?
Erin: I just did.

Anthony: (incredulous) When were you gonna tell me?
Erin: I just did.
(Anthony leans back, crossing his arms.)
Anthony: I don’t know. Jack Boyle? Really?
Erin: (defensive) Yes, really. He’s changed, Anthony. He’s... grown up.
Anthony: (mutters) We’ll see about that.

Garrett: (grinning) So, Jamie and Eddie are really keeping the gender a surprise? That’s... so them.
Baker: (nodding) I think it’s sweet. Traditional.
Sid: (chuckling) Yeah, but you just know Henry’s dying to find out. He probably bribed the doctor already.
Frank: (smiling) Actually, I think he’s handling it well. Though I wouldn’t put it past him.

(The group laughs, but Frank’s unusually buoyant mood catches their attention.)
Garrett: Okay, spill. What’s got you in such a good mood?
Frank: (leaning forward) I’ve decided to write a book.
Sid: (blinking) A book? You?
Frank: (smirking) Don’t sound so shocked.
Baker: (carefully) What kind of book?
Frank: My experiences as a cop. Lessons in leadership. Thoughts on the future of policing. One of my oldest friends has finally talked me into it. She's in the lobby right now, and I want you all to meet her.

(There’s a brief silence as his advisors exchange uncertain looks.)
Garrett: (hesitant) That’s... ambitious.
Sid: (cautious) And a little out of character.
Frank: (shrugging) Maybe. But I think it’s time. People need to hear the story from someone who’s lived it. I'll be right back.
(Frank leaves.)

Jack: Erin said you wanted to see me?
Anthony: (sarcastically) Yeah. Wanted to put a face to the name, make sure I heard her right.
Anthony: (sarcastically) Yeah. Wanted to put a face to the name, make sure I heard her right.
(Jack extends a hand, and after a brief hesitation, Anthony shakes it.)
Jack: Good to finally meet you. Erin’s told me a lot about you.
Anthony: (deadpan) Funny. She hasn’t said much about you.
Anthony: (deadpan) Funny. She hasn’t said much about you.
(Erin rolls her eyes, but Jack just chuckles.)
Jack: Look, I know I don’t have the best track record, but I’m serious about this. About her.
Anthony: (narrowing eyes) You better be. Because if you screw this up, you’ll be dealing with me, pal. Got it?
Jack: (grinning) Got it.

Jack: (grinning) Got it.
(Anthony reluctantly nods, then steps aside. Erin watches, both amused and touched.)

Garrett: So, a book. And now he’s bringing in some mysterious collaborator?
Baker: (shrugs) Could be worse. Could be a tell-all.
Sid: (grumbling) Still don’t like it.

Sid: (grumbling) Still don’t like it.
(The door opens, and Frank enters with a poised, elegant woman in her late 70s. She exudes warmth and wit.)
Frank: Everyone, I’d like you to meet Dr. Wanda Kowalski.
Wanda: (smiling) Please, just Wanda.
Garrett: (standing, stunned) Wanda Kowalski? The writer?
Frank: (grinning) That’s the one. She lived in my Grandma's neighborhood in Birmingham, Michigan. I got to know her during summers and holidays. She’s agreed to help me with the book.
Wanda: And I’m looking forward to working with all of you.
Wanda: (smiling) Please, just Wanda.

As Frank and Wanda chat in the background, Garrett mutters to Baker and Sid.
